An absolute disappointment.  The MCD course organization is just the worst, no respect or interest is shown to the students. The teachers are late for the class from 10 min to an hour! No facilities for any kind of fabric manipulation but they have millions of macs that are not even in use.
The fact that to a MA fashion collection design course are accepted people who had no knowledge at all about fashion so the course is mainly for them! Because in the one of the first day of introduction we have been shown how to thread a normal machine. Think about it...
The program of MCD is full of pointless classes that have minor relevance to the collection the student is doing (and all leading teachers are saying that every class MUST help and support you collection because this course is meant to be about students collection). All this classes don't give anything to a student but just take his precious time.
The communication between teachers is just not a thing at all.
If you even have a briefing session it will not be coherent with what actually will happen.

think twice before choosing Polimoda. Dare to be critical.

I studied for a bachelor's degree in fashion technology for three years, and I cannot recommend this school. The tuition is high, and it's evident that this is a for-profit private institution. They offer education in English, but in my experience, none of the teachers speak or understand English. Please consider this before choosing this school. While learning Italian may sound appealing, it can lead to significant problems, especially if you plan to study subjects related to craftsmanship. Many teachers display a racist and unfriendly attitude towards international students, often behaving arrogantly in the classroom.

Since I didn't speak Italian fluently, I missed out on important knowledge, which is not acceptable considering they promised education in English. Honestly, these three years were terrible for me. I developed stomach ulcers and had panic attacks almost every day.
This school made me dislike Italy.

I've landed many great jobs after my education, and it's not because of the school. It's been successful for me because I'm driven and curious. Please remember that you can land any job you want in the fashion industry if you're driven. It's not because of an exclusive school.

Thank you for reading this, and please think twice before choosing Polimoda. Dare to be critical.

To anyone who is about to consider going to Polimoda, don’t. I was due to go there to pursue my Master’s in October 2020. However, it got postponed due to Covid, and I am glad it did. I realized that the management had withheld information from me about the course requirements. Plus, they had also started giving out 50% scholarships to those who were applying much later than I did, for the same course year. Besides withholding information and behaving erratically about money, the school’s management stopped responding to my concerns. I sent a request seeking to withdraw my admission and was met with no response. I reached out to the Italian Consulate to assist me, and upon their questioning, the management stated that they had always been in touch with me. They are unprofessional, unethical, and raise serious questions about the quality (and legitimacy) of the school.

I enjoyed the fact that it was easy to travel to pretty much anywhere. i like the quality of life. i think that the italians were very nice to americans, especially when they saw you trying to speak their language.
