Housing
Type of housing: Hall of Residence
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Because, although the location of the Hall of Residence was great and the athmosphere and people there even better, the place was in not very good conditions.

Personal comments
My personal opinion is that the Hall of Residence needs a very strong economic investment to improve the conditions of the students living there. Besides, it was necessary to book your room with a long time in advance, to have a minimum guarantee of having a place to live when arriving at Milan. Some mates had problems in this aspect. Anyway, the Erasmus experience is great, no matter the accomodation!

Save your money for somewhere else
Jeton
Italy, Graduate
, 2023
Overall
I took a master in Strategic Design and graduated in 2023 from Poli Design or Scuola of Design, never understood what their formal name was, that’s how disorienting this school is. Anyway, the campus is in the outskirts of the city, in a degraded area. The students of this master were mainly brats with money that never cared a dime for the projects. The professors don’t care for your preparation, actually their grading system is completely arbitrary, they are just interested in keeping up a facade of being appealing by throwing buzzwords here and there (and, by the way, their english is a joke). The quality of education is pretty low, I would say their level of teaching would better be comparable to a professional high school rather than a university. Two years ago, when I enrolled, it cost € 12.000, and this year … well, check for y/self: https://www.polidesign.net/en/formazione/business-design/master--strategic-design/

Careers
They offer internships, but the offers are shitty. Maybe, the companies offering them, already know what kind of students this master forges, or maybe they know the quality of this master’s professors.

Pros
Couldn’t really find pros in this school
Cons
They should stop bullshitting people by promising results they never deliver, and start to work seriously, with dedication, integrity and honesty and scientific rigor.

Hard work should pay off
Daniele P
Italy,
Management Science, 2024
Overall
Most prestigious university in Italy for Engineering, the level of study requested is pretty hard
Helps the fact that most of the courses are correlated by a project that helps get real insight on the work
The negative side is that, for my course ( Management Engineering specializing in Finance) no internships are foreseen during the studies

Too much theory

Furniture Design Degree. Good but not awesome.
Too much theory and not enough practice.
No useful and practical suggestions from professors. Just theory.
School is a simple concept: I want to learn something new and I go to school where there are experts teaching me what I need to grow in knowledge and career. Well, most of my questions didn't find answers.

The university has all facilities that you may need as a student. Stuff is easily approachable and friendly. There are coffee machines, bar and restaurant on the territory of uni. Student life will beat you expectations
