Pourquoi?

The sense of freedom in an apartment shared or not with more people is bigger than with a family. And you can have a sense of being at home in an apartment that you have not in a campus.

I have been in two apartments. In the second one I had and individual room. I really liked the mix between social live because of living with other students and the posibility of also being calm at your own room.

Pourquoi?

I think that living in my own house, as I did, was the best solution. In fact, even if I decided to join an University in England I am Italian and so in Italy I lived at home. While in the Uk I stayed on the University campus for the first year and I rent a house the following years.

They help you finding a place, but it's mainly your responsability. The Politecnico provides you with housing for the first 3 weeks, but it's not enough time to find decent accomodation in Turin...
