ANA F

Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, 2023
Overall

Personal comments
My degree is in Spanish and Economics, before going i thought i could speak spanish when i arrived i realised Chilean spanish is very different from the Spanish they speak in Spain in terms of accent, speed and slang. There is an awful lot of slang spoken in Chile that they do not use in other parts of south America and Spain. I enjoyed learning the chilean version of Spanish. Once you tune into it(took me about 2 months) it gets easier and easier.

Is an university of excellence. It has rally good professors with lot of them with PhD in USA or Europe (talking about my case in business and economics). The courses are really interesting with professors that can give examples of multiple cases in the world. Exams are really competitive and The campus is a really nice with a lot of green area.

Where do I start?! So many great places - Bar Liguria in Providencia for a wonderfully atmospheric and bustling restaurant, Los Insatiables in Providencia for all-you-can-eat sushi, and La Vaca Gorda in Barrio Brasil for an Argentinian feast. For nightlife, avoid Suecia - it's a dirty, over-priced tourist trap - and head to the bars on Manuel Montt. For nightlife, Blondie is a real experience or else try Subterraneo for something more funky.
