When I got on the plane and the people started to speak in portuguese I got scared because I didn´t understand a thing, but the first week I were there I got used to the sound of the language and I felt secure. Then I had no problems. I guess is the will and the need to communicate with people that makes the difference.

Upon arriving in Brazil for my program, which was not my first experience, I was speaking Portuguese at an intermediate level of fluency. Throughout my experience, I was able to learn very much and I now speak and write at a superior level of fluency.

In what respects to the language i did not learning a new one because my mother language is the same with little diferences. Although i learned about any other aspects, like personal, culture, life that i could not learn in every part of the world.

Brazil is simply an amazing country and have the chance to study in Rio de Janeiro is absolutely great. As a portuguese student I hadn't any difficulties to interact but the brazilian people are very welcome to anyone.
