- applying for CAF will knock another 50 € to 150 € off your living expenses
- public transportation is quite cheap with the monthly ticket when under the age of 25
- school may offer translation jobs from local companies to international students to make some money with little input

When in Rennes one should enjoy St Malo, Dinard and Mont St Michel, only few kilometers away and very cheap to get to by bus.
Villejean is not the nicest looking part of the city but is well connected to the public transportation network (Metro Stations and Night Bus) and quite safe.
