The university of Groningen has a lot of different functions student could use if they are willing to put the effort in. Also the quality of the courses and the corresponding professores is really high.

Once I asked a woman in a shop "excuse me, do you speak english?" and she answered: "yeah, a little bit" and then started to speak really fast in english... Well, she should see how is speaking "a little bit english" in France...!!! Most of Dutch people definately speak english fluenty...

Groningen is not really good situated for making trips in Netherlands, to Amsterdam you need 2hours, first what do you should do in Groningen - buy a bike, everybody use it
