The most confortable way is to build up your life independant, with friends and share some nice flat right in town or at the shore.

Pourquoi?
The residence-Couleur Soleil had great location. It was in the center of Juan les Pins, it was minutes from the bus stop which took you to school. And best of all, almost all exchange students stay in this residence.

I found France quite bureaucratic which was complicated by the language differences. At university the course was half in French and half in English. Some courses were very difficult due to the technical vocabulary required. However I managed to survive the year!

I lived on dorms near campus so everything was far away. An appartment in near city Antibes or Juan les Pins is much better

Is relatively easy to find a place to stay there, although it's kind of expensive, but shairng and applyng for the government aid helps you
