University of Technology
Mees F
Netherlands,
Engineering, Civil, 2023
Overall
The Eindhoven University of Technology is a university with a focus on technical courses. You can apply here for studies in mechanics, chemistry, architecture and more. Sustainability and innovation play a major role at this university. This is noticeable in the courses that are taught and on the university campus, where Europe's most sustainable faculty building can be found. I am enrolled in architecture, where I am specialized in construction engineering. A lot of courses focus only on teaching construction formulas and mathematics, but there are also projects in which you can delve into other topics such as sustainability. Teachers are adept in english and are approachable for anything. Student life is very accepting in Eindhoven, especially if you join a sports association.

TU Eindhoven and some things they don't tell you about the university
Ubaid I
Netherlands, Graduate
Architecture, 2021
Overall
They have student portals which are mainly catering to European and Dutch Citizens. So I couldn't find a side student job, because they didn't help Non Europeans. Still, I managed to find other jobs to fund myself during and after my study. They have workshops for everything, CV checks, and letter of interests.
My internship was part of my academic curriculum, and it entailed writing an extensive report.

The teaching is great. The labs and their equipment is well above par and the tuition fee isn't very high if you compare it to the west. It's easy to find a part time job as an English speaker and there are several job opportunities on campus as well.

While it does offer internship opportunities, it wasn't really a possibility for the course I had chosen.

I really wanted to continue this experiment. I think that Erasmus is less frustrating when you remain 1 year.

The Dutch are not really attracted by the foreigners. If you want to enter in contact, you really have to do the first step.

In this university the academic level is high, maybe in other places you can go out with your friends every day till dusk and have a lot of parties.....here you must work every day.
