Why?

As student accomodation is totally overpriced, I strongly recommend taking an apartment outside campus.

For the first 3 month,I lived on campus;generally spoken the rooms were not that bad,however as mentioned above,far to expensive for Chinese living standards, therefore it's better living off campus enjoying better housing at almost the same price.

Places you shouldn't miss: Beijing and surrounding; Shanghai and night life. Please don't travel during holidays.

All in all China can be considered cheaper than Europe,although Western products can be quite expensive.
