I already had an extensive knowledge of spanish so it is hard to see a real progression. however, i have learned more local madrileño slang and mannerisms as well as more confidence when i speak.

The best areas to go out: Lavapies (many alternative places, great multicultural atmosphere) and Malasaña, simply the best place to go out in Madrid. Just go out and let you guide by the night.

Before living in Madrid, I had a good but very theoretical knowledge of spanish. But in less than 3 months, you can manage yourself in all the situations and you speak almost de puta madre ;-)

palacio de gaviria on thursday the disco for international students (thursday is the night for students in general)
