I wanted to improve my spanish and did so very much. I fyou actively learn and get into ontact with locals and other speakers of the same language (in my case: south americans) you can learn a lot. Next time im back I want to learn catalan!

Personal spending habits
Food is a bit cheaper in BCN than in the Netherlands. On the other categories I spend more because i was more active and tried to get everything out of the time I had there.

I can only advise everybody to study abroad wherever that is. Its a great experience that teaches you a lot and that you will never forget.
