Personal spending habits
Barcelona is less expensive, than London about the same as Rome, and more expensive than Athens for example. Monthly expenses are 500-700, depending on the rent. If you want to travel a lot, prepare your wallet.

Don't expect miracles from this uni. It's a just a big, public, not very pretty place to study. If you need a super high-tech uni with a huge modern campus, look somewhere else.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
For me house is just a place to sleep, the most important thing is the people you are living with, and they were great.

I think uni provides some amount of rooms for students, but I wouldn't count on this. You'll probably have to look for a place by yourself. It might take you a while, so be prepared to live in a hostel/hotel for a week or so. The reasonable price for a nice exterior room without additional payments is 300-400 €/month

Bar-casino Vallcarca. It's a very private place, hard to get in, impossible to get out.
