if you want to learn spanish, this is very possible here, although 2 semesters are required to get a high level.
great city, nice people, good level of education and of course lots of stuff to do.
in short: if you feel attracted to spain and spanish stuff, you should come to madrid.

thousands of bars in madrid, don't even know where to start... in getafe where residencia and university campus are, also lots of nice bars (thursday afternoon, thursday night especially lots of students) for madrid: see guides on the city
