Fiestas more often as in the home country, travelling a lot in Spain, Portugal and Morrocco.. Most museums have 1 day free, so enjoy!

Universidad Complutense de Madrid was a really good University. Its typical spanish, a little bit disorganated (at least for a German :-) ) but you have a big choise of courses and the professors were quiete good.

Tengo dudas de que hace 20 años la carrera de Periodismo ayudara a formar a sus estudiantes para el mundo laboral. En 2020, cuando yo terminé la carrera, desde luego que no.
Todo parece desfasado allí. Incluidos muchos profesores. Menos mal que de vez en cuando aparece alguna excepción que te devuelve las ganas de seguir. Pero, en general, es una carrera que ilusiona poco, y prepara menos todavía.
No hay contacto alguno con la gran mayoría de los alumnos por parte de la Universidad. Y luego se sorprenden cuando les dices los problemas que hay. Aunque tampoco hacen nada por solucionarlos. Si quieres aprobar, es sencillo. Si quieres aprender de verdad, tendrá que ser por tu cuenta.

having classes taught in spanish and living with a family that did not speak english made a huge difference. I was forced to constantly use and practice the language.
