Personal comments
It is easier for me to understand peolple talking spanish, than to speak it myself, not that I can't but my selfconfidence needed a boost. In the biginning I found it very hard to speak spanish in public, I was afraid they would laugh about me. During my spanish course I got more confidence in myself speaking in public. I enjoyed talking with the spanish students and friends and my knowledge of spanish has definately been improved thanks to my time in Pamplona.

Personal spending habits
Because at home, I live with my parents and I do not have to pay my housing and food. I also don't travel a lot in Holland. The Nightlife in Pamplona is much cheaper than in Holland, but in Holland I don't go out as much as in Pamplona, because here it is also normal to meet people at home instead of going to a bar all the time.

Final comments
If you travel from Holland to Pamplona, you have to keep in mind that it will be a long trip. There are direct flights to pamplona, but they are very expensive. Go to a bank (caja Navarra) and get yourself a pass where you can put money on for traveling by bus, this is more convenient than paying every time entering a bus. Get a housing contract, this will avoid paying problems, discussions with the owner and costs afterwards.

Academic
Course recommendations
Most of the time the teachers red information which we had to rewrite on paper and study.....?They did not bring "life" in the lessons.

I got a list with adresses which I could call to see if they had any rooms free. On that list you could also find the amount of the rent and which faciliteis they had on that particulair adress. I thought that it was a good combination of basic information given by the university and personal action in search of a place to stay.

I really loved to go to a nightclub called Marengo. I really liked this club because they played a lot of spanish music and I could always find my friends there. I also liked to hang around in the many bars in the old part of Pamplona.
