The main reason I chose to study in Spain was to become advanced/fluent in the Spanish language. I constantly involved myself in the local community - I joined the Sevilla choir, joined the volunteer program at the university that had previously only been for Spanish students, and primarily spent my free time with Spanish natives.

My only qualm with the university was the segregation between the international and local students. Although it was not the university's fault that I was not as involved with the local students, I did feel interaction was not as encouraged as it should have been on either side.

I learned more Spainsh in two months her than in two years back home. If you live with Spaniards and constantly speak spanish, try hard in your classes, and constatly try to improve your Spanish on your own time, the same will happen to you.

What helped me the most was that my host family spoke nor understood any english, therefore i gained a great deal of experience of the language.

There are no problems with communicacion, people are so friendly that whenever U've got any problems they help U.
