Personal comments
Andalusian people have crazy ass accents and eat lots of letters, use strange phrases like "al carajo", "illo", and "pisha". Canarian people too, but they are very warm and easy going. Again nothing like staying in a private residence with lots of people to really learn good Spanish. I didn't mix with other ERASMUS students to concentrate and in hindsight a good balance may have been healthier because I arrived home really out of touch and missing Spain too much.

Not really... Some people might think it is always warm and sunny in the South, but it might not always be the case, so make sure you have not only packed sandals, bikini and mini skirts!

Personal recommendation
The truth is I expected something different so I cannot be very objective. I am sure you studying in Granada is a great experience for most people, but I cannot say it has been for me. Might have been because being Erasmus in your home country is not THAT exciting!

Hire a car and visit the region with your friends. Going to Morocco from Algeciras or Tarifa is not very expensive and spending a weekend there is a very enriching experience.

there are some difference between the level of difficulty, you have to watch it for yourself, some profesors are more demanding than others. Maybe more intercambio´s is an idea, Ididn´t had a lot of contact with the spanish students

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I was able to find an apartment living with 3 native girls who helped me out and gave me a lot of incite into the culture. But I didnt feel as restricted as I might have in a host family.

there were some dorm facilities but they were mostly for younger first year students. They also tended to be private and more expensive.
