For lively bars and wonderful tapas, head to the Barrio Humedo, but for a more relaxing evening with some liqueur coffees try Cafe Bambu, just behind the cathedral. The cathedral itself has to be the most impressive sight in the city and it really dominates the whole centre (also doubles up as a good landmark for when you are lost!)

Try to get a tutor ("Patrino"). If you are lucky, you get one which really helps you, like me.
Helps you to look for a room, courses, etc.
Try to find a room in a shared flat (piso compartido) just with spanish. Hard at the beginning, but you are forced to learn. Stay away from other students from your home country. Make friends with spanish students and from other countries. You won't regret.

“The best teachers in a small university”
Natalia M
Spain, Graduate
Biotechnology, 2019
Overall
Although it is a small campus, it turns out to be one of the most confortable and beautiful places to study in. The teachers take care of the students, as there is a more easy to control number of them per Faculty. There is a good organization structure and this affects very positively the education quality and problem solving processes.
I studied in the Biology faculty and we had nice facilities and a beautiful environment.
