If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Personal comments
You have to arrange your accomodation yourself, but the university can offer assistance in finding one. They have some offers at the International Relations Office in the centre. But a lot of them are outdated or have other disadvantages, like location, costs etc.
At the end it was not that difficult to find a decent place to live.

Personal comments
In the old town (centro antiguo) it is packed with bars and discos. All the places do not have any real closing times, so nightlife goes on till the morning. The best days to go out is the weekend and thursday, last one especially for students. Nice bar with cheap drinks (thursday!) and an international atmosphere is El Asturianu. Nice mix of Spanish and Erasmus students. Overall excellent nightlife in Oviedo. Try Gijon (30 min. by bus or train) also. Great nightlife as well.

Personal comments
Building up a good social (night)life works the best. A lot of informal conversations with a broad range of subjects.
