I did a precious Intensive Spanish Course in October for Foreign Students at the University of Salamanca where I got the best grade at the highest level. It was really important in terms of grammar, but all the specific business vocabulary I learned from studying and from listening to the teachers.

Academic
Course recommendations
Take car when choosing which course to follow, defenitely do not follow one in which the professor makes it clear to you that he/she does not like Erasmus students, it can cost you a lot! Do not choose first year's subjects as they will only bore you very much.

Culture in Spain is different from that in Northern European countries I guess. Prepare to have to run after professors for days (literally) and to take on a servile attitude. The whole thing is slow but everyone is ver nice in the end. Improvements could be made in communications between Erasmus and regular students, we were treated as Spanish students which was highly optimistic as we did not master the language on a level equal to them!

A bar off of Gran Via, past the post office that gives dancing lessons on Saturday nights. Also, a small cafetin on the Gran Via, of which I forget the name. The Trastero is a good bar/cafe to get to know local people at. Bars inside of the Plaza Mayor tend to be more expensive than those outside.

The university doesn't arrange housing for the students. They only give you a list where you can look for a place to stay. But finding a place is not a problem.
