The best of the University is the building, but not all of the faculties are in there. The way of studing is quite oldschool, they don´t support independence.

Seville is a very beautiful city and they have a very rich and special culture and history (Flamenco, Sevillana, Ferias, not only in Seville).Andalucia has beautyful beaches (Costa de la Luz: Bolonia,Caños de Meca), they have mountains, beautiful towns (Granada, Ronda, Cordoba, SEVILLA...) and villages. And last not least the Sevillians are very nice and they like to celebrate. And the Tapas....

Personally i would have gone to a more affluent city just because the poorness of Andalucia shows in the amount of educational resources availalbe for students. Otherwise its just as good as any other university.

I personally would have gone to a bigger city because the nightlife options get tiring quickly, there were too many americans, and there seems to be a lot of resentment on behalf of the citizens towards foreign students. I was harrassed numberous times by men and many guys were randomly assulted.

The city and the university are different things: one is magic, the other..

The university, especially the faculty of economics, offers a wide range of courses, in both the first and second semester. However, It's hard to find reliable information on many of them, so things can easily become complicated. Not all professors help you just because you are an Erasmus. Also, many of them ignore your needs. Not all the elective courses are easy to pass, as well as not all the mandatory ones are harder than the others. Generally speaking, I've never needed to study so much to pass an exam. I am still wondering why taking a degree at this faculty can be so tough.

If you read all the reviews people have done here, you can easily note how many say these very same things. You have to study a lot, starting from day 1. Almost all the courses are made by one or more project works and a final written or oral exam. Classes are mandatory or give you the possibility to add some points to the final grade.

I recommend you to study here just in case you're staying one semester. The level of commitment required for the whole year can be so high as to produce undesirable worries.

Points forts
The city is unique, the spaces of the faculties of viapol are confortable and well organized.
Inconvénients
Many courses are tough, It's difficult to find precise information about that. The international office is a joke, they are totally unprepared and they usually make mistakes with documents or files.

Going to Seville is a chance of a lifetime I would recommend not missing. Seville is a beautiful city filled with lots of adventure and things to learn about. If you would like to get the feel of Spanish cultural, the city of Seville could be one of your best choices! Many people told me that the temperature year round was hot and to not worry about brining winter clothes. With that being true in the months of spring and summer, when first arriving in February and until March it rained almost every day and was very cold, almost reaching snow on some days. So make sure you come prepared for all seasons here in Seville!

My experience abroad has been a forgetful experience that has taught my more then I could have imagined. I can say that I have never learned so much in so little of a period of time. My classes abroad consist of small groups of people from all over the world, from Europe, Asia, Brazil to, and U.S in which we are constantly involved in an exchange of topics with mindsets from all over the world. Being a part of this exchange program I have been forced to step out of my comfort zone and express my thoughts and opinions in return learning so much about myself and others. I feel so lucky and fortunate to have been able to have this experience. I am earning full time college credits while greatly improving my Spanish language skills. Seville is a beloved city with many activities and things to do, which left me never bored or looking for something to do. Here in Seville, the people are very friendly and outgoing; within one week I have made a group of friends that will last for a lifetime. This study abroad experience I came to Seville as a tourist but after soaking up all of its culture has to offer I found out new things about myself I never even knew existed changing my image of a tourist, into a well known visitor, leaving nothing behind. It is with these experiences we find, that “ no matter who you are, or where you’re from, everybody has something to offer.”

Buena experiencia aunque no excelente
