Sevilla was a difficult place to learn Spanish at first because of the accent, but after a number of months of interacting with locals and other international students it became easier.

Final comments
Ryanair does cheap flights to Sevila or Malaga. Best piece of advice I could give is to really immerse yourself in the culture and make a big effort to be social and make friends. It will be daunting and often demoralising at first but there is so much to be gained from a year in seville, you don't want to end up regretting anything at the end of the year.
