When you are there you feel like time is limited and you must just do things on a whim. You may have one chance to travel to a city so you do it! Same with going out at night, you don't want to miss a second.

When you withdraw money from the cash machine do it in large quantities as you are charged everytime you withdraw money. Have a budget in mind for the whole trip and split that into how much you want to spend per month, so you don't go crazy and end up having to go home early.

Food: it is cheaper here. Telephone: I called several times to Germany Accomodation: In Germany or Holland it is really hard to find a room in an University-city, and I would never had found one fore 28500 Pesetas all costs included. Nightlife: The prices are qite the same as in Holland Travel: It depends where you are going to. Barcelona is expensive, small cities not.

I spent more in housing beacuse here in Itaky i live in my house with my familiy, instead in spain I had to pay a lot to live in a residencia. I spent more money to call my parents here in italy beacuse there were international calls. nightlife in spain is so cheap and I really enjoyed it.

Don't splurge on everything. Save lots of money for shopping because the clothing over there is great and so affordable. remember to budget and you won't spend so much.

You can get a card from the bank Kutxa and when you put money on it you can use the bus service for nearly half the price - this is open to everyone, not just students

Because I study in Dublin where all of the above are much more expensive than in San Sebastian although my phone bill was more or less the same.
