I would say Bairro Alto is the best area to have a nice coffee watching people walking around... and also the hot-spot of Lisbon night life. Portas Longas in Rua Altamira is the best place to go for a beer while you listen to fados and talk to people (everybody talks to everybody there... I don´t know what they put in the drinks. And Miradouro da Graça is an unavoidable place to have a coffee with Lisbon at your feet on a sun set.

The best night spots for student in Lisbon is "Barrio Alto", the ancient part of the town, with narrow streets, many small bars and restaurant and full of young people. another wonderfull place is tha all coast of Portugall, with amazing beaches, sea and waves.

Bairro Alto (neighborhood with many small bars and restaurants), the ladies nights at the discotheques Queens and Dock's.

Kapital (number 1 disco, very difficult to enter - unless you are a blond - I am), "Bairro Alto"

For people who are interested in meeting other Erasmus-students there is ErasmusLisboa which organizes Parties, Dinners, Trips, etc. for students.
