Teachers should pay attention so foreign exchange students who do not speak the local language are not left alone. Also, the Erasmus office at UNL should be friendlier and be OK with speaking in English instead of scolding fresh-comers for not speaking fluent Portuguese already.

Food is very cheap in Portugal as well as going out compared to Vienna. But that makes you sometimes spend more than you would at home.
