The best time is the time spent with your friends. There are wonderful places near Foz and Ribeira. For a dinamic nightlife, there are clubs in the center of the city full of students starting with midnight.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
The campus wan recently built, the cleaning was made twice a week by the university staff and all the building was full with international students. The atmosphere was great and the friendships with the people i met there remained over years and over the distance.

The courses were held in English, but in the beginning we had to chose one course in portugueses even if i didn't know the language well. The teachers were kindly to help us and we had no problems at the end of the programme.

Expenses
Main source of funding:
Family
Other sources of funding:
An ERASMUS grant
Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options
Personal spending habits
I overspent money for travel purposes. The airplain tickets between Spain and Portugal were really cheap because of Ryanair and it was a great opportunity to visit both countries. I visited in 6 months more than i visited my hole life and i am pretty happy of the chance that Erasmus gave it to me.

I wish I had known...
The best part of Erasmus is to discover the world and discover your limits. I managed everything after i got there.

Personal recommendation
The examination throughout the semester is very useful and gives you time for everything (like having fun, travel and study in the same time). The continuous need for study helps you to accumulate important information and the quality of teaching is high. I remained with great knowledge about the worldwide economic environment after 6 months within the university.

Final comments
Everyone should join Erasmus Scholarships all over the world! It opens your mind, your soul, your future, your perspectives. It will definetly change your life and your expectations in a way you don't even realize it before going! It's the best way to describe a student life with great future goals both from a career perspective and personal objectives. Go for it, don't even ask yourself if you should try it or not! Erasmus is one of the little things that you don't need to think about it before actually do it. It can't be bad! I am very thanksful for the people I have met in 6 months and for the things that everyone taught me!
