Accommodation obviously is the big expense. Nightlife can be as cheap as you want it to be - parties in houses save a lot of money! Although I don't travel much while at home, the general costs of travelling over there are cheaper.

Not really, Milan it's a very expensive city. The most expensive in Italy and even mor expensive than a lot more cities in Europe according to the other europeans that were on exchange with me.

Milan is notorious for shopping (clothes and shoes shoes shoes). There are so many things to do, places to see and people to meet that money flies. Besides, I have a very cheap flat back at home.

Everything in Milna is very expensive, and when you are on exchange you tend to do more activities than when at home, so you will end up spending quite a bit of money. Also on top of the above mentioned expensies, Milan is amazing for shopping...
