I loved it, but you should definitely know that most of the things, problems in the university you have to solve by yourself. Sometimes, there were changes in the schedule of the courses, and no notification about it.
But professors are really friendly, and helpful.

It was really a great experience! If you decide to go, don´t interact only with other Erasmus people, but try to get to know the local students as well. That way instead of improving your english you will learn italian ;) And you have the chance to get to know the Real Italy!

Make sure you have a student visa and if possible, that the Uni. is aware of the exchange program with your university. It would have helped to have a contact person at the university.

Very strongly, but mainly for the experience of living in Florence, not for the university 'spirit'. It's a multi-campus place so there's no real central meeting ground within the uni.

See as much of Italy as you can while you're there. See if you can work your timetable so you have a day or so off a week to do this.

for a student who wants to study here in University of Florence, will enjoy the best study experience one can have. Professors are well trained in their own field. know their stuff. have plethora of experience in their field.
English is the language for teaching and i have not found a single prof. who can not convey the lecture in english. and then the hostel life is amazing . one can enjoy free education , plus live in a rent free rooms, and free meals .

Overall
During the course I have been in touch with organisational environment, Italian labour legislation and labour sociology of European countries.
I also have been studying at Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, in Dublin as international student, where I studied international HRM, gender equality policy and reward management, obtaining good results.
In the end I developed a final thesis and a project work about workplace innovation.

I wish there was more preperation for everything. I didn't expect Italy to be so unorganized, which was very difficult because I come from a very organzied and structured country.

I went through another university to get into the university of Florence. I didn't have to do any of the work, which was nice because Italian's are very organized and I might have pulled my hair out.

Give yourself enough time to do everything you can. Write a list of everything you want to see and do but don't forget to experience where you are living. Research, research!
