nice trendy cafe's or pubs(such as Cafe Concerto,Fidelio,Cafe Orologio, Irish Pub), enotecas in the city but very expensive. Going to Bologna for the nightlife was great as the students' nightlife better is than in Modena. Going to disco's outside Modena were great, they are the best cafe's I have ever been to, such as Scuderie, Rockville, Bosco di Garda, Mata Hari.

I think it could be better, if they complied with all the things they write online then it would have been no problem. It was ok for me and I adapted myself to the situation eventhough on hygiene matters I was very disappointed.

I wish I had known...
No, it is better to go without knowing as it is the new adventure you want to experience. Except for choosing your host university.

try to always have everything in order, so matter are faster and easily solved or arranged. As for travelling, travelling as much as you can, go to other cities to get to know the culture of the country..and travel to the south as you will see the differences between the south and the north, and the beauty of both sides of the country....italian people are nice people.
