Great learning Environment
Oluwaladun, O
Germany, Graduate
Economics, 2021
Overall
The University is a great learning institution where dreams can be achieved. The lecturers put in their best to impact knowledge into the students in order to be competitive in the labour market. The students are polite, friendly and willing to learn. Also, the campus is very suitable for learning and it is equally very beautiful. The University Library is well equipped to ehhance learning and their are standardized laboratries. Their are also lots of social activities and sporting activities that both Lecturers and students can engage in to help ease out stress.
Pros
It is rated one of the best Universities in Germany.
Cons
There are no enough courses offered in English for International students.

I studied for 2 years at the university level here in the USA and felt pretty comfortable with my progress in German...until I got to Germany when I realized that they spoke a language far more complex than I had expected. It would have paid to have had speaking experience with a native speaker in the USA before having gone to Germany.

I wish I had known...
Bring any and all literature that you have read before...I think that regardless of the subject that you plan to study, you can always use your books as a reference for future homework assignments or review.
In my opinion:
I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.

At universities, there will be poster boards where people who either need or offer rides to other cities in Germany when and if you need one. That makes it much easier and less expensive to get where you want to if you go travelling.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Living close to the campus is easier in Trier because the campus is not in the city. Moreover it's the best way to meet all foreign students.

Accomodations are great. You can choose to live on your own or to share your flat with someone. You can even be with someone of you own university if you insist a bit.

I totally recommend studying abroad in Trier, Germany. It is the oldest city in Germany and the sights you get to see every day are simply amazing. The people are also great and very helpful.

Bring extra money to travel with, because it is so easy and cheap to do so. When you are here, you shouldn't miss out on any opportunity to go someplace because of lack of money.
