That there are limited possibilities to become a tutpr at the 'Centre des Langues' and thus get unlimited internet access. I was lucky to get it a lot of the student weren't!

get information befor you go there about academics; don't worry to much about housing; get there early i.e. at least a week before school starts

Get information before you get there so you know what they offer and what you want to take. Familiarize yourself with the French system! Be persistant in getting information once you get there and don't let yourself be discouraged by the reserved manner of people you might face. They have a lot do to at the university and tend to be a little bit unpatient. ( Madame Piroel of the English department is an angel and will do everything to help you!)

It's a little confusing to find out where the board is that has all the information one needs. They seem to be scattered all over the place.

I spent more because at home I don't have to pay for room and board.
