Best place to have a beer with friends, was definitively the Saint Sulpice bar on Saint Denis street (few block from UQAM), especially in summer on the patio. At night, the 737 bar was great and also some great parties at The Apres-Cour bar!!!

Why?
Because it gave me a total independence, flexibility and enough space to live in to both study and have guests at home.

Montreal and UQAM is a great place to study. Although, Montreal is in Quebec, it is a truly global city: almost everybody speaks in English, so it is a great way to practice it.
