Personal comments
I have never seen the student hostel. But it was said that they are not so nice. That's why I immediately went to look for something private. Thought it required some patience to find a nice one at the end I am glad I did!

Academic
Course recommendations
Lecturers are generally really nice to Erasmus students. The help you a lot and do not ask for too much! Always try to have a straight contact with the lecturers. Nearly all exams are oral.

Personal comments
It's just a matter of time till you start to speak as you would like to. The direct contact with the people and the continuous praxis made it very easy to understand others and express myself.
