Hardly any discussion, it's a straight frontal approach, the teacher talks, the students take notes. There are more modern approaches these days.

I think prices are more reasonable in Spain. Things are cheaper, but due to the fact that the Euro compared to the Mexican peso is a lot more, that´s what made it sometimes more expensive in some things. Although for example airplane tickets are much more cheaper in Europe using some airlines than in Mexico by far.

The University!!! Education is much more expensive in México. I saved A LOT of money when I went to pay the courses for the semester. I was really surprised! Also I LOVED the transportation system in Barcelona. I didn´t miss my car at all, because the transportation is so well distributed and managed that I got from place to place with minima effort.

I did not know that Barcelona besides castillano has catalan as their official language. It is not a dialect...but used in every day life. So, I did not know about the catalan/spanish question. Therefore for me it was also a bit harder to learn Spanish.

I am getting older now and I just enjoy having my own space. Living in an apartment with other Spaniards would also give me a chance to practice my spanish constantly.
