We mostly talked in Spanish during classes, some classes where in English. But people in Mallorca speak in Mallorquin-Catalan, so you get to learn something.

Language courses are not so important to learn because you can make many more progress in short time by living in the host country.

university uses Catalan language. On Mallorca you can get around in Spanish. Teacher would refuse to speak Spanish in his class, therefore I wasn't able to understand, unfortunately. Catalan is an impossible language, I'm afraid.
