Get your visa in time in your own country, or you will have a lot of problems at the border, and also to get your visa extended. Learn Romanian.

Some students speak english or a little bit French, but don't count on it. If you want to survive in Romania, you have to learn Romanian. Nobody of the administration (for visa,...)can speak a foreign language

Academic
Course recommendations
Professors will help you with the choise of the courses, but not how to read your timetable. They work with a two-week system, and they can change the timetable everyday. Sometimes you miss lessons you don't want to miss, sometimes you're waiting for a professor, who is not coming. Advise: check your timetable everyday
