I took an intensive course, and we had to work for it! But i almost learned more norwegian in six weeks than for example portuguese in six months or hindi in four years, and that wasn't because of me, but because of the teacher and the way of teaching!

Because Norway is incredibly expensive, so expensive it is quite unbelievable. The UK is quite expensive compared with most of Europe and certainly alot more than North America. In Norway many things are double the cost.

Exchange always gives us a great opportunity to improve our english. As pretty much everyone in Norway speaks english, I didn't have many incentives to try to speak norwegian outside the "Norwegian classes"
