I wish I had known...
Where and how to find a private accomodation. I definitely would have had more information about the university residences, their prices and conditions in comparison with private accomodations which I strongly reccomand.

I would reccomand to travel all across Scotland, renting a car is cheap and it is the most suitable solution to get to very remote areas.

The over-all experience is great however I would suggest you look at another country as an option as getting a job in a field which is not in the countries short skills sector could prove very difficult

University of Abertay is very student-friendly univeristy. Dundee itself is a small city but has many lovely places to visit. Worth to live in for a year or two but not more that this. Rather old-people city.

It is a great experience in a great country. I advise it specially for people doing Computer Studies as is one of the best universities worldwide on this field.

An excellent course, but lacking in some areas
Andrew D
Switzerland, Undergraduate
Computer Science / IT, 2008
Overall
The mathematics lecturers at Abertay vary dramatically in their abilities and their passion for the job. One would clearly explain everything in a computer games programming context, whereas the other would hand-write the notes from the written book onto the white-board whilst we fell asleep in the classroom. The javascript teacher was sadly lacking in javascript skills, but thankfully we had a previous programmer in the class who helped everyone with their coursework. The facilities at the university are excellent and the course overall was good fun. Dundee, not a great city to live in though, if you like to have things to do!
