Personal comments
The language of instruction at the university was English. I had quite a good level of Eglish before I went there but I found that my English improved and I don't have problems to using it. I was also interested to learn czech but my primary goal was to improve my English. Czech people outside the university don't always speak English so I found it very useful to know some czech.

Personal spending habits
The student dormitory was very cheap way to live. Travelling wasn't so expensive but I travelled quite much because Prague is so central in Europe and it's easy to travel from there. I spent the same amount of money for food but I ate more often in restaurants than in Finland.

It's plenty to see in Czech Republic. Czech Republic isn't only Prague for there's much to see outside it too. It's nice and valuable to have czech friends who can show you places.

Academic
Course recommendations
The subjects of courses were interesting but I found them a bit traditional in the sense that professors were lecturing and students listening. I would wish more interaction and group works.

Housing
Type of housing: student dormitory
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
It was nice to live among other exchange students. It was easy to keep in touch with others and organize spare time activities together.

Personal comments
The housing was arranged well, all the exchange students had the opportunity to live in the dormitory. There were only twinrooms and that could cause problems to some people. I had a nice french roommate and we got along very well. The location was pretty good because of the public transportation. I found that exchange students' dormitory was better than local students' dorms, more space, more bathrooms..

Personal comments
There are a great deal of things to see in Prague, historical places, museums and parks. It's quite cheap in Czech Republic (for finnish people) so it's possible to travel around the country and also to the neighbor countries. It's also possible to eat in nice restaurants. There's rich cultural life in Prague, theaters, concerts, etc. and the tickets are not too expensive.
