it dipends on who you go out with. anyway i like the brass monkey pub, the whistle binkies, the sandy bells, the last drop (and the other pubs in grassmarket)...bongo club if you like reggae...house parties are usually the cheapest and coolest thing to go to.

I enjoyed going with all internationals to "Bannerman's" at Cowgate. I would recommend a cafe called "the forest", nearby Poterrow(UofE). You shouldn't miss a walk to Arthur's Seat and jogging in the Meadows with some friends. It was also enjoyable the view from Carlton Hill and the Castle of Edinburgh from Princess Street. Delightful.

I wished I had saved a bit more so I could travel even more. Also wished i knew how FUN ceildhs were so I could go to more of them!

Best about scotland is the blend of nature with the city. Things to do include going up the Crags and Arthur's site. To do - visit the princes street gardens and the Castle! wonderful view from there! Best Cafe - Rigs (great place to hang out with a few friends apart from Friday nights when the music is WAY too loud!)
