Personal comments
On-campus accommodation was a typical dorm situation. However, my apartment was a five minute walk from the beach and we rented it through a real estate agent. I couldn't have asked for a better place to live.

In Newcastle East, where I lived, the best cafe ws The Bogie Hole, a cute cafe close to the beach with GREAT food. As a college student, the place to be seen at night was The Great Northern. However, we also frequented The Delaney, a wonderful Irish Pub and The Mercury, a techno dance club.

Final comments
Don't hesitate on spending money when it comes to traveling around Australia and even to New Zealand and Thailand. I spent a lot of money, but I would do it all over again, it was WELL worth it.
