Considering that they spoke English, it was fairly easy. The Australians did have a hard time understanding my Southern accent, though. In the end, we both learned heaps from each other and new ways to say things.

Spend as much time in Sydney as possible and also make time to travel up the coast and then to Alice Springs to see "the rock"!

I lived on-campus in the Intenational House. It provided a great social and academic atmosphere and gave me the chance to meet a variety of people from different cultures. I could not have asked for a better situation.

In Newcastle, you have to go see a "footy" match! We all loved cheering on the Newcastle Knights. My favorite night spots included Frostbites, the Brewery and the King Street Hotel.
