Final comments
Ottawa is pretty central, so you can travel to Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City and New York easily. If you want to rent a car, get a international driver's licence in your home country (this helps). If you are under 19, don't go to Ottawa, because 19 is the legal drinking age and they are pretty strict on this.
