It was interesting to live in a country with 11 official languages and even more cultures and subcultures,but where you can always make yourself understood in English.

There were too many different languages spoken and the overall language was English. It was good for my English and I improved it.

it was interesting to be exposed to a few languages in south africa, though too much focus on afrikaans when 75% of south africa is black and their mother tongue is not afrikaans!
