don´t expect a great campus. engineering is situated in the city centre, which means little space. but sydney is an amazing city, you will love it and its parks will make up for the small campus.

plan and buy your plane tickets months in advanced (qantas/virginblue), you will save lots of money. if you want to go to the gorgeous northern australia, do it in the dry season (winter, but beware, it´s the southern hemisphere). also, due to the relative proximity, you will be tempted to travel asia. my advice: leave it for another occasion, australia not only is huge, but amazing, and you better explore it while you´re there, you may not return.

Not really, everything turned out to be very good. The only problem of Australia is its relative lack of culture as it is a very new country. However those are the kind of things one can only understand once he/she has experienced living in the country. Moreover it is only after spending a considerable amount of time in the country (one year or more) that one really starts to feel the need of something else than what is available in Australia.

when going to UTS it is important to make friends at the orientation week because those friends are going to be yours for at least the rest of the semester. They are not only the one who you will go out with and who will make your experience of the country a very pleasant one but a lot of them will also be your study partners.

There are plenty of things to do in Australia, plenty of amazing places to see. So make sure that if you come to Australia to study you allocate a bit of time for travelling there. Be ready to live in a completely multicultural city (especially if you come to Sydney) where it is somtimes hard to find a "real Australian". Don't be afraid of the Australian accent: it is a bit strange but everyone gets used to it, starts to love it and sometimes even picks it up.

It is a great university, where you can meet friendly people from all over the world. And the facilities are very good.

It's always better to plan well before you travel, know what you want to do and know your budget well. And try to get as much information as possible.

it's 'thongs', not 'flip-flops'! also, it helps to read up on the different suburbs beforehand, so you have a general idea about where you want to live

Eventhough this university might not be everyone's choice but however, to me this university does provide a sufficient knowledge to students . There are various courses that you can apply for. This university is well acknowledged by the companies in Australia and Malaysia. Hence, this gives a better opportunity to obtain a job in the appropriate field.

Any advices needed regarding studies can be obtained from the University . University does organise a trip for students during holiday and it's cheaper as compared to those by agent. To obtain any information , newspaper and internet can be a very useful source.
