Toronto caters for everyone's tastes; movies, plays, sport events. As for the food, there's a variety in restaurants representing the different ethic cultures. There's a nice and casual place for brunches on Bloor called Curiosity and i really appreciated the pub Kalendar on Queen. Lattes and hot apple ciders are exquisite in winter.

Final comments
Just go for it! This is a great university with a typical Northamerican campus, full of facilities in a dynamic city...a bit far from other towns though, but distances are to an American scale of course.
