I wasn´t living at the Halls of residence but some of my friends were. The new flats were pretty good though i think it was a little bit expensive but the old Halls of Residence aren´t very good. The private accomodation were i was living in was very good but i had to search for it own my own,the university didn´t help me at all so what i did was going house by house through the area i wanted to live in and as i said before i found and excellent house.

Type of housing: On campus

If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Because I think that is the best place to meet people from other parts around the world, to know more cultures, and to improve my English with people in my same situation. And in 5 minutes I can be in class!

I like live in the campus. I live with other 5 girls, from China, India, France, US and from Northern Ireland. I can know other cultures. Sometimes we cook traditional food from our contries. I have met people from other countries around the world, and now some of them are big friends. The house is good. The kitchen and the bedrooms are big, and have all the essential things.

In my view, chosing to live on campus or independently, either in head-leased accommodation or in appartments in nearby towns very much depends on your age. The Halls of Residence, on Campus, were mainly for freshers or young international students; under 19. Head-leased accommodation or private houses owned by University and some of them located on campus were basically full of postgraduate students and mature students, which was my case. At the time, I was 23 years old and most of my neighboors and housemates were of the same age.

Because you could sort it from your home country, it was rather handy to go to class and gave me the opportunity to mingle with other students who were living on campus as well.

I liked live on campus. I met a lot of people from different countries. In fact, I lived with 5 girls from other countries. This is good to learn about other cultures, and of course to improve my communication skills.

The house was pretty good, its were well preserved. In 5-10 minutes I could be in class. There were gardens zones, and picnic tables.
