Aberystwyth is quite far from everything in Great Britain,so if you like to travel be ready to have an added difficulty:the distance from the other cities or places of England. Anyway the place is beautyful, especially for the presence of the sea.So if you are lucky to get an accomodation in the seafront halls, you will spend a great time there.

Good place to have fun and experience real campus life. Very good reputation for international politics a bit too isolated from the rest of the world, the rail link to Birmingham sucks

Try to find an accomodation in the main campus or in town. Do not go in the secondary campus

The town is quite nice, too small, but ok. Reaching Aber is quite complicate (from Liverpool it takes 4 hours and you heve to change trains 3 times!!)

Aberystwyth University is, honestly, great

Overall
I have been in Aberystwyth studying for nearly two years and I have yet to personally find a fault. The lecturers with whom I have had the pleasure to be taught by have been engaging and seem to truly enjoy talking about the subject they are teaching. Moreover, while the town itself may seem like a small picturesque seaside place that you expect to find on the Welsh coastline, it is so much more behind the scenes - I am still discovering new and beautiful places every day - eg "The Bluebell Woods".

Generally, it is quite difficult and time-consuming travelling to/from Aberystwyth. Cheap flights from Madrid to Liverpool.

If you are not fixed on studying in a big town and appreciate nature-the sea and the mountains, as Aberystwyth is a coastal town, you will really like it!Social life is excellent and it's fun to take part as you get to go around the UK.

Best way to get there is to fly to Manchester/Birmingham and then go on by train or National Express buses. Look on the homepage which is really good and stuffed with information-www.aber.ac.uk.
