I was able to sustain a conversation before I arrived but i was a bit shy and not sure of myself. but now it's really easier. I also now understand various accent because of the various nationalities represented in the uni. I feel more confortable chatting with people.

With the native language of Australia, being my own native language, the only difficulty I had was in understanding the accent and other lingo. I enjoyed the interaction with other international students and professors, and while the different languages did present some difficulty in communicating, it also provided great opportunity to teach and learn of other languages and cultures.
